Product Description
This product is perfect for the person that wants to use for many applications. The MaxPlus supports spin alarms and traditional magnet alarms. The clear enclosure provides 360 degrees of LED illumination to aid in locating that sensor at night. Note: firmware and feature updates periodically available for free through the Vulture App.
Long Range
The Vulture Systems product was designed to have superior signal penetration as well as very long range communications. The Vulture System’s product has up to 1 mile of range and can be configured for 1-way or 2-way communications through the Vulture App. In scenarios of extended monitoring such as trail monitoring or trapping the user may decide to use 1-way communications for extended battery life while the weekend warrior fisherman might opt for 2-way communications which allows them to consistently confirm they are in range. Many other systems on the market claim hundreds of feet in range but this is in an ideal Line of Sight (LOS) situation and those systems don’t have good signal penetration. Those systems are always 1-way communicating devices which means the user has no way of knowing they are out of signal range.
Battery Life
The Vulture Systems product was designed to have excellent battery life and provide flexibility in configuring it for 1-way or 2-way communications mode. The Vulture Handheld is always listening and always capable of transmitting to any given base at the touch of a button. The Vulture Handheld is easily put into a very low power mode (radio off) and turned back on by holding buttons 1 and 2 of the Handheld for 5 seconds. This allows the user to leave batteries in the Vulture Handheld when not in use and not have to open up the case. When in use the expected battery life the Vulture Handheld is roughly 15 days of continuous use (radio on). This will vary depending on the frequency of alarms and transmissions performed.
The MaxPlus Sensor when configured in 1-way mode (radio off) is always monitoring for a magnet alarm. Once an alarm is detected the MaxPlus immediately wakes up and sends out the alarm message. In this mode the expected battery life is roughly 6 months of continuous use (radio off but monitoring). This will vary depending on the frequency of alarms and transmissions performed.
The MaxPlus when configured in 2-way mode (radio on) is always monitoring for a magnet alarm. Once an alarm is detected the MaxPlus immediately wakes up and sends out the alarm message. In this mode the expected battery life of the is roughly 5 weeks of continuous use (radio on and monitoring). This will vary depending on the frequency of alarms and transmissions performed.
